For the Love of Advent Calendars

We are big fans over here of the Christmas countdown. What’s not to love about a gift that keeps on giving for 24 days?! It is so exciting to have little surprise everyday as you get closer to Christmas. We have quite a few. I give one to each kid, these are fun new ones each year, and cater to my children’s individual interests.

We also have a really sweet nativity one that we reuse each year, and we take turns each day opening a door. Last, we have another one we take turns moving a little bear on a wallhanging each day til he finds Christmas. This last one is passed down from my mom, it’s the one my grandma made us and I loved moving that cute little bear when I was a little girl. I’ve spent hours looking for the perfect advents in years past, as it gets harder with teens/tweens. I’ll share my faves here to save you some time.
