We stayed at the most adorable hotel, and the location was very central. We walked everywhere! I booked through Expedia- you can get $30 off with a new Expedia account using my referral link! the Hotel is called French Quarter Inn.
Look how gorgeous this lobby is!
AND….this room, so pretty
Day 1- we flew in on a Thursday, landed around 2pm, ubered to the hotel. We grabbed a late lunch at a place around the corner called Well Hung Vineyard;) Market Street shopping market is on the same street as the hotel, so we shopped til it closed. I always like to find a comedy or improv show if I can, and we went to a really fun show at The Black Fedora Comedy Mystery Theatre. It was a blast! The audience even gets involved in the 2nd half.

This Comedy Mystery Theatre at the Black Fedora was such a treat! they include member of the audience that want to participate, and we were so surprised by the skills they had, we thought they had rehearsed!
Day 2- we went on a fabulous walking tour of downtown Charleston with 2 Sisters Tours, I highly recommend!

Our hotel had fabulous breakfast, and afternoon treats, but we squeezed in some yummy places to eat! This is the cute hotel courtyard we ate breakfast in.
After lunch at Toast All Day! which was so good, we hustled over to Boone Hall Plantation. We did NOT have enough time to really see and enjoy it all. I would suggest going first thing. It is a popular site and we all enjoyed it, but we went because it’s featured in The Notebook, one of Jenna’s favorite movies. We didn’t arrive until 3:00, it closes at 5:00, and tours only start at certain times, so give yourself enough time!

*Don’t miss story time about the Gullah People, the mansion tour, or the wagon tour that takes you around the whole property- I think it’s called the Gardens tour.
**Please Note**it is further away and in a smaller area, so getting an Uber home did NOT happen. The kind worker at Boone Hall told us that is a common problem and was sweet enough to drop us off at a shopping center where we ate dinner and easily caught an Uber back to Charleston.

Made it back just I time for our Dark history and Ghost tour with Adam. It was so fun and interesting and unlike anything I’ve done before. We highly recommend! (I’m only putting the stuff on here that we recommend:)

Saturday was a little drizzly out, but we were headed to Cypress Gardens where this scene from The Notebook was filmed…we HAD to go!

Our ponchos really messed up our aesthetic for pics, but it was really fun to paddles in these boats and pretend to be them ha!

Lunch:Another Broken Egg Cafe-deelish
We toured Nathaniel Russell Mansion- audio tour, recommend if you haven’t toured any other mansions and/or your like history!
Shopping and Callie’s Hot Little Biscuit @ Market Street-great snack!
Dinner@ Tommy Condon’s Irish Pub- fun, live music-around the corner from our hotel French Quarter Inn.
One of our absolute favorite things was the Improv show at Theatre 99– we laughed so hard our cheeks hurt and we talk about it all the time. Our favorite comedian was Brandy Sullivan, what a riot! *there’s really no parking, we just walked, but if not, then Uber.
We slept in, shopped and flew home on Sunday!
Charleston is the perfect location for a long weekend getaway, girls trip, couples trip, and if its warmer and you can go to the beach, definitely a family trip.
I hope you add Charleston to your list of places to go, and that this post helps you plan your trip!
