I have become an avid reader. I wasn’t always. In fact, I cliffs noted my way through high school AP English. I became what I would call an actual “Reader” back in 2006 when I had babies at home, and needed a little excitement/escape/something besides Disney Channel! Enter The Twilight Saga. I was flying up to Reno alone, no kids in tow. This in itself was out of the norm and felt glorious! I had two babies at home. my oldest was 2 and my baby was 6 months ish. Anyway, I thought, “I’m an adult, flying alone, I should pick up a book for this flight.”
I grabbed Twilight having heard the title but did not know I was about to enter a world of hott, rich vampires and werewolves. I never looked back. I have broadened my book selection/genres, but I still adore a fun love story.
I listen to most of my books now, because I can read them quicker, like while driving or doing dishes, laundry etc. I use the Libby app with my library card, and audible. I still love actual physical books and love to buy them and look at their beautiful covers on my shelves. And of course, talk about them.
I keep track of my reads on the Goodreads app. You can follow me over there. CLICK HERE.
These were my faves from this summer! I had a mixture of chick-lit/rom-com/historical fiction
